Currently, different dressings are used to treat chronic wounds. However, conventional dressings do not play a significant role in the healing process of these wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers and burns. "Panotech" is a new bacterial nanocellulose wound dressing with the ability to prevent wound contamination and fully support the healing of these types of chronic wounds, which leads to a reduction in high treatment costs and improved patient health.
The new Panotek dressing consists of cellulose and water. The products are supplied in sterile packages, which are sterilized and disinfected by irradiation. This dressing protects the wound from pathogens (pathogenic bacteria). In fact, the dressing provides a moist environment for the wound using the new moist wound treatment method and also absorbs excess secretions. Due to its soft and flexible structure, the dressing easily adapts to any surface and shape of the wound.
